Germany – Financial assistance for couples undergoing in-vitro fertilization
If German couples would like to undergo fertility treatment at one of our centers in Bregenz, Salzburg and Pilsen we do, of course, also offer our know-how and techniques in observance of the provisions of the German "Embryonenschutzgesetz" (Embryo Protection Act). However, you should be aware that these restrictive conditions of the German Embryo Protection Act may considerably reduce the chances of getting pregnant.
It is precisely in difficult situations, such as under the restrictive requirements given by the German Embryo Protection Act that our know-how and state-of-the-art techniques provide a firm base for a successful therapy outcome. Upon completing the treatment, we will gladly confirm that you opted explicitly in favor of this procedure and thus we performed the treatment in accordance to the German Embryo Protection Act. In case we perform the treatment in compliance with the restrictive requirements given by the German Embryo Protection Act, we offer you a reduction of 25 % off our base fee (IVF/ICSI). This would mean that you could be treated at one of our centers (Bregenz, Salzburg, Pilsen)on terms comparable with those offered by German IVF units!
We would be pleased to provide you with further details on the therapy and possible financial assistance by the federal government resp. the statutory health insurance funds. However, we would ask for your understanding that in these cases we cannot apply our selection procedure to identify the best quality embryos at the blastocyst stage as this technique is banned by the German Embryo Protection Act. However, if you prefer this procedure which is not allowed in Germany, it is unlikely that you will be granted financial assistance by the federal government resp. the statutory health insurance funds. You may largely benefit, however, from the advantages of the more liberal legal requirements in Bregenz(www.ivf.at), Salzburg (www.ivf.at) and Pilsen (www.ivf-institut.cz).
